The Knowing Space
Bilingual (EN/ES) website for Paula McMeekin: mentoring and intuition, with the discovery call always one click away. Design, copy, photography and development from scratch.
Problem
Paula works with clients in English and in Spanish. If booking that first call took more than one click, every hesitant visitor was a lost session. She needed a website that worked equally well in both languages and converted without friction.
Solution
Design, copy and development from scratch around a single gesture: booking the discovery call. The booking form asks only for the essentials, copy and photography were produced in both languages from the start —not bolted on as a translation at the end— and the site is mobile-first.

The Knowing Space is a Web Despega commission: a website for Paula McMeekin, an intuition and personal development practitioner with clients in the UK and in Spanish.
It is not an experiment or a template. It is a published site, with its own .co.uk domain and a clear commercial goal: whoever lands on it books a discovery call without thinking twice.
What the brief asked for
Paula works with children, adults and leaders. The site had to speak to all three without reading like a directory, and work identically in English and Spanish. The critical point was not the blog or the about page: it was booking an appointment.
What I delivered
- Design and copy from scratch, in both languages from the first draft.
- Photography shaped for the tone of the service, not generic stock.
- A booking flow for the first call, always visible.
- Launch on the client’s own domain, in her name.
How it relates to Web Despega
In the technical portfolio it counts as a case of conversion, i18n and third-party delivery. On webdespega.com it is told for the local client; here it is told for whoever is assessing how I work.

What I learned
- → A real commission forces you to design conversion before the portfolio: the booking CTA is the product.
- → Bilingual is not a switch you flip at the end: both versions have to be written and photographed at the same time.
- → A personal-services client sells trust; photography and tone matter as much as the stack.
- → Delivering in the client's name (a .co.uk domain, Hostinger) teaches you to separate personal brand from service brand.
